Hand Wound Texas Specials give this Fender® Custom Shop 61 Stratocaster Relic in Fiesta Red a bold and spicy tone. Bridge pickup has a nice mid range grit with a nice bell like high. The neck pickup is smooth with excellent sustain and clarity even when overdriven. The 2 and 4 positions have a mild quack with just a touch of high end bite. The neck is a well designed 60's Oval C that is comfortable to play. Back of the neck is still gloss so if you like a smooth satin feel you might want to look elsewhere.
