Martin Custom Shop D-18S in 1933 Ambertone Sunburst is spectacular!
The combination of Adirondack Top with Sipo Mahogany back and sides gives this guitar a warm, rich tone that you would normally hear on guitars that cost thousands more. The Sipo Mahogany has a beautiful grain with an excellent mid range and crisp low end. The Adirondack top is extremely responsive with with a higher ceiling for volume. Being a 12 fret the bridge has been moved back more into the center of the body which helps increase the bass without losing definition. The sloped shoulders keeps the tone nice and tight.
The neck has Martin's modified low oval neck profile that is comfortable and easy to play. The split headstock helps tighten up the feel of this guitar. Frets have been plek'ed at the factory so they are perfect. Guitar has been professionally set up here at the shop and is ready to go. This guitar is very hard to stop playing!
