At GearFest UK, we caught up with Anthony to discuss the PVAD, a portable Variable Acoustics Device. Designed to function as both a low-frequency sound absorber and mid- to high-frequency diffuser, the PVAD leverages the Helmholtz principle for sound absorption. Its unique construction includes sheet metal insulation to improve absorption efficiency and convex shapes that diffuse sound from 630 Hz upwards. Tested to ISO standards at both the University of Salford and Soundhub in Denmark, the PVAD offers versatile acoustic treatment solutions.
