Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Dale Wilson built this Masterpiece and it's loaded with killer features. The body is made from Okume, a wood that visually resembles Mahogany but has a brighter tonal quality and it typically lighter in weight. The neck is made from a highly figured piece of Maple that has been roasted or heat treated to increase stability and to give it a darker look. This treatment also enhances the wood's aesthetics. The neck on this Fender Custom Shop Dale Wilson Masterbuilt Okume Stratocaster Chocolate 3 Tone features a full feeling 54 U Shape, but not quite as big as a Nocaster. The bridge pickup is a P90 from Jason Lollar Pickups which makes this one of the most fun to play Stratocasters we have had in a while. The tone isn't for the faint of heart but if you live on or over the cusp of breakup, chances are you'll love this one. The neck and middle position pickups are Fender Fat 50's, an overwound 50's sounding pickup for a little more oomph that can easily be tapered with the roll of your volume control.
