Uwe George from Rides In The Storm gave us the latest on a couple of their latest modules. First up the XDR, a compact ring modulator featuring a diode ring section and an XOR crossfader. It offers voltage control and includes a mix-in function, allowing you to add a noise component for metallic and snare sounds. It comes equipped with a 6 dB high pass filter with CV control capabilities.
We also looked at the second prototype of the SED-CSM synth voice, with an alterntive front plate design (TBC).
Also the BOC, a versatile oscillator already available in stores. It allows for mixing waveforms and includes a tunable sub-oscillator. The BOC is enhanced by a voltage-controlled wave folder that adds interesting effects, simulating digital tones. Priced at around £160, the BOC and RITS other modules offer good value.
