In a slightly meta moment, where MIDIerror spoke to Paltas from Error Instruments to look at the Dark Marie. A new standalone synthesizer with a unique blend of features. Dark Marie combines a patch bay with an effect processor, allowing for numerous patching options to discover "happy accidents." This hybrid synthesizer features both analog and digital elements and offers separate use as a delay and synthesizer.
The sound character of Dark Marie ranges from ambient and organic to experimental, with a capability to produce droney textures. Inspired by the story of Marie Antoinette, the synth also incorporates push buttons for note sequencing and features a resonating filter called the plumb mode - rooted in the design of the Ciat Lonbarde Plumb Butter, which can create flute-like tones.
Available in silver, the Dark Marie is already in stores and soon anticipated in gold, perfectly matching other ERA Instruments' Eurorack modules. Priced ad €699
