Brett Kingman is a professional guitarist based in Melbourne, Australia.
Inspired by 70's classic and glam-rock guitarists and beginning his professional career began at the age of 12, Brett has become one of Australia's better known hired guns and has spent time touring and recording with Australian icons such as James Reyne (presently touring), Daryl Braithwaite, Ross Wilson, Renee Geyer, Joe Camilleri, Vika & Linda Bull, Peter Andre, Jenny Morris and dozens of others. He has toured the world supporting acts such as Tina Turner and Robert Palmer and is a well known identity at the major music trade shows such as NAMM and Musikmesse.
In 2008 Brett and his (then) 6 year old daughter, Sadie, made some short YouTube demo videos for some guitar pedals brands, just for fun. The light, often-funny and informative nature of the videos proved to be a hit with the global pedal cognoscenti, encouraging the dynamic duo to produce more. Some 620 videos and over 6 million hits later, the "Burgerman666" channel is widely acknowledged as one of the best of its kind in the world. Brett now also produces demonstrations for the ProGuitarShop channel based in Portland, OR.
Brett recently signed a deal with MGM Distribution. His first solo album 'Leaverites' featuring ambient/textural guitar works that his YouTube fans have embraced will be released worldwide in Q3 2012. Brett uses the Free The Tone Custom SOV-2/Overdrive. He is a long-time fan of the sound and quality of the products developed by Yuki Hayashi and is making a great demo video for Free The Tone.
