A silicon fuzz face built on a madbean PCB made to fit in a 1590A. Q1 is a 4JX11B1634B (gain ~ 55) from the 60s I got from Luciferstrip on DIYStompboxes, and Q2 is a NOS BC107 (typical gain ~90) from Smallbear. It's very low gain for a Silicon fuzz ... I may even lower the gain of Q2 if I get some more transistors, but the BC107 sounded really good in there.
Quick note on the guitar and amp: The pickups are Reilander's vintage strat set. The amp is a hot rod deluxe with a hemp-reconed (by Tone Tubby) Weber 12F150B (ceramic magnet, british-voicing), set to a fairly flat response with low-gain preamp tubes. The volume is around 3. Reverb is very low on the amp - most of what you hear is in my living room.
