The Music Man Custom Wound Single Coil pickups have the Music Man® "Silent Circuit" which really cuts down on the hum without taking away any of the tone. The bridge pickup is bold and spicy with a nice grit for rock and blues playing. The neck pickup has excellent definition and warmth that retains it clarity even when overdriven. The 2 and 4 position have that classic quack without being too pronounced. Great positions for biting blues soloing or country twang.
The maple neck has a stain finish (as do most Music Man guitars) that allows the hand to glide up and down the neck. The neck is a perfect shape and will work well for all size hands. The locking tuners and the modern tremolo add tuning stability and sustain you won't find on a strat.
