This is a demo of the SGC Mobin overdrive.
Gear used for the intro:
Guitar- SGC Chieftain with P90'S
Amp- 1965 Fender Bassman
Pedals- SGC Mobin for all OD and SGC Pep Pep for delay
Daw- Logic Pro X
Mics- Shure SM57 and Sterling Audio ST55
The Mobin overdrive is and extremely versatile overdrive that yields a variety of tones. This True Bypass pedal includes a clipping switch with 3 modes.
When in the upper position you will get a more symmetrical clipping that is more compressed. This consequently notches the volume down when engaged, but can be compensated with the Volume knob. This mode is great for smooth leads and more sustain.
When in the middle position you will get more of a clean boost/Klon-ish type of tone. This setting is bold and punchy and is great for bluesy clean tones, but still has plenty of gain on tap to give raw overdrive.
When in the lower position you will get more of a "British" style of tone. This setting is noticeably brighter and more glassy than the others. It's great for post- rock rhythms and cutting leads.
