The Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster is a hybrid guitar that produces both acoustic and electric tones thanks to its Fender/Fishman Acoustic Engine. The Acoustasonic Strat features a mahogany body, Sitka spruce top and a modern mahogany “Deep C” neck with ebony fretboard.
The Acoustasonic Stratocaster features five distinct voice pairs, selectable from the pickup position switch. Glide seamlessly from a warm-bodied Sitka Spruce/Mahogany tone (Position 5) to a performance-defining lead (Position 1), plus everything in between. The Mod Knob allows you to choose between Voice A or B within each pair, rotating it to the 12 o'clock position to blend the two.
Here, guitarist Meg Duffy of Hand Habits takes us through the wide variety of voices available with the Acoustasonic Stratocaster.
The Acoustasonic's five voice pairs are:
Position 5 (A/B): Core Acoustics
Position 4 (A/B): Alternative Acoustics
Position 3 (A/B): Percussion and Enhanced Harmonics
Position 2 (A/B): Acoustic and Electric Blend
Position 1 (A/B): Electric
