Yo …
So I recently have been on a Marshall hunt ( again ) and after digging around I came to several boutique versions which promised to be closer to an original plexi over the Marshall reissues !! Now for the most part I was gonna have to nut up a lot of cash to get what I really wanted and I’m just not in a position to do that currently which took me to Ceriatone !! No stranger to this brand I began hunting - the chupa was by no means my first choice but the plexi setting had me interested - the internals / transformers and general build quality from this brand are not to be sniffed at !!! So I took a stab in the dark as most uploads of this amp are hair metal dudes totally rocking ( which I love by the way ) and I’m glad I did .
I haven’t got the right cab or speaker for it yet so I can’t compare to the Marshall SV20 , what I will say though is the SV20 is WAYYYYYYYYY brighter than this amp / works good for Hendrix stuff but you really have to crank it to get some bottom end in the signal - the chupa has more controls to bring in that bottom earlier at better volumes even though it’s 50 watts compared to the SV at 20 watts ….

Anyway just some food for thought …
