This Fender® Custom Deluxe Stratocaster® in Sunset Orange Transparent is a beautiful guitar that features a stunning AAA Flame maple top and AAA Flame Maple neck. Big bold tone from the hand wound 60's pickups in the neck and middle and the Texas Special pickup in the bridge position. The Fender Texas Special pickup is hot and spicy! Excellent grind with a punchy mid range. The highs are slightly bright and I found myself turning down the treble a bit on the amp. The hand wound 60's neck pickup is clear and well defined. Single note lines really sing. The middle pickup is a great combination of light and dark. Well balanced with a nice mid range. Low end stays well defined even when overdrive is added. The 2 and 4 positions have an excellent quack that is not too over the top. The 65 C neck is slightly beefy but easy to play. The 6105 frets and 9.5" radius makes bends and fast licks a breeze.
