We have been building these 1 piece Ash bodied Tele’s for the last couple of years and they never stick around for long!
The one piece bodies certainly don’t hurt resonance as these sing with sustain. This one weighs in at a light weight of 7 lbs 4 oz. We switched the neck to a friendlier 57 Soft V Profile, similar to what you’d find on a Clapton Signature Strat. We have the radius carved to a 9.5” radius then topped with 6105 frets. The result is a fast playing, easy bending Tele that far exceeds the playability of the guitar’s from the actual 1950’s! A set of Twisted Tele pickups provide a higher out put neck pickup that is a little more Strat-like than the typical Tele neck pickup. The bridge pickup has snap, bite, snarl… just a fantastic sounding bridge pickup!
