Knockin' on Heaven's Door is a Bob Dylan classic, timeless in every sense of the term, covered by hundreds of great artists. It's a great song for the beginner guitarist with only four, a steady strumming pattern, and a WHOLE lotta repeats! Fun to play on acoustic and electric, the Gun's n' Roses version from the 1990's re-popularized the song with a new audience. Heavier guitars and some killer solo's from Slash didn't hurt!
