This Fender® Custom Shop Todd Krause Master Built '72 Thinline Telecaster® Relic in Trans Brown captures the early 70's vibe perfectly… except that it's considerably better in terms of construction, fit and finish than ANYTHING that came out of that time period! Todd Krause builds touring guitars for many living legends so you can be sure there is no better guitar bearing the Fender Logo. The Thinline Tele design keeps the weight down, a comfortable 6 lbs 12 oz, so long nights on stage won't be a problem. The Birdseye Maple neck is stunning. It is nicely figured with thick flames and lots of fine Birdseye. The profile is kinda chunky for a 60's Oval but it's very comfortable for my smaller hands. The 7.25" radius and vintage frets give the guitar a decidedly vintage feel. There are so many cool tones hidden within this guitar that you'll find great sounds in all positions. The Trans Brown finish screams the early 1970's and it was immediately recognized when we pulled the guitar out of its box. It takes years to get Todd to build a guitar from the ground up since he is so busy these days so if you are looking for something special that you just won't find elsewhere, give us a call!
