Karl goes to town on a pair of incredible D 40 acoustic guitar prototypes from Guild guitars. Crafted in the tradition of the Guild acoustics built at the old Westerly, Rhode Island workshop, the new D 40 is an incredible instrument you simply need to play to believe.
The D-40 is perfect for players looking for that ultimate dreadnought sound. The classic combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides provides remarkable volume, clarity and sustain. Brand new to the Guild USA line, this model features white ABS binding, a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, and a bone nut and saddle. A thin satin varnish gives this guitar its familiar, broken-in look and feel, while also allowing it to breathe. The D-40’s timeless appointments include a vintage style rosette and Guild’s peak logo inlaid on the headstock. Each D-40 comes with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity, and ships with a humidified hardshell case.
