Although it’s often overlooked, warming up is one of the most important parts of your practice schedule. A good routine not only starts to gently stretch your hands and help to avoid injury, but helps to reinforce mind-muscle connection, which in turn will improve note targeting and articulation in both hands.
In this easy-to-follow video lesson Elixir Strings artist Abel Sanchez provides some great ideas to help change up your warmup. He separates left and right hands with exercises to focus on each, bringing them together to ensure that even the weaker ring and pinky fingers get a real workout!
Explaining why he’s a fan of Elixir Strings, Abel says, “Elixir Strings enhance my playing. I truly love the way they feel – they’re an extension of who I am”
