Fender’s American Vintage II series draws on over 75 years of innovation to bring today’s players the essence of Fender craftsmanship and tone! Highlighting a dozen instruments from benchmark years when certain models came together, the American Vintage II series models sport period-correct bodies, necks, and hardware, plus premium finishes and specially voiced pickups for each year.
Take this American Vintage II 1972 Telecaster Thinline, for example, which features CuNiFe Wide-Range Humbucking pickups originally designed in the early ’70s by famed pickup designer Seth Lover.
