In Part 2 of this Lesson we dive into the really cool Blues Lick where Mr Brecker so slickly incorporates tons of slurs and chromatic notes. Imitating these slurs on guitar is a really fun challenge but is part of what will make your Guitar phrases start to sound really unique.

As we said in the last lesson … make sure you check out guys like Michael Brecker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Wayne Shorter and Charlie Parker to name just a few. Or if you somehow can't find your way to be inspired by Saxophone … and only draw inspiration from Guitar Sounds … check out Scott Henderson, Allan Holdsworth, Allen Hinds, Michael Landau, Mike Stern, John Schofield and Oz Noy to name just a few. These guys all use Lines and Concepts from horn players to spice up their guitar playing.
