We stopped by the Ernie Ball Music Man booth at NAMM 2023 to learn more about their newest guitars and basses from sales manager AJ Braman.

First up, the Kaizen. Developed in partnership with Tosin Abasi of Animals as Leaders, the ultra-modern 7-string Kaizen model has been joined by a brand new 6-string configuration. Both models are available in 4 finishes, including Apollo Black, and, in extremely limited runs, Indigo, Mint, and Chalk.

Up next, the new Steve Lukather L4 lineup. The culmination of a three decade relationship with Luke, the iconic guitarist's eponymous instrument underwent a significant transformation for 2023, available in heat-treated SSS and HH configurations. A limited-edition 30th anniversary version features a heat-treated HSS pickup configuration with Music Man's double-locking floating tremolo. The new L4 models are expected to be available in Fall of 2023.

Finally, AJ walked us through the 2023 StingRay Special basses, which introduce 4 new finishes: Sea Breeze, Laguna Green, Pueblo Pink and Butter Cream. These new models are expected to be available in Summer of 2023.
