"The Sound In My Head." That's the moniker coined by the man himself, Shawn Tubbs. Shawn obviously has a very friendly relationship with respected Canadian amp and pedal manufacturers, REVV Amplification, and he's been fortunate enough to now have his own signature pedal, the Tilt Overdrive, put into production. In my mind that makes the world's guitar playing fraternity very fortunate also because this is a great and eminently useful pedal. The Tilt takes its name from the type of EQ used on the boost side. Put simply a Tilt EQ is a kind of see-saw with bass at one end and treble at the other. You can alter the balance between the two with the TiltEQ knob and boost it with the Boost knob. If you think there's too much bass happening in your sound you can tame it with one of two high-pass filter selections courtesy of the 'Tight' toggle. The overdrive section (post Boost or, like the Boost, able to be used independently) is not so much an 'amp type' of affair but more of a low to medium gain drive with very thoughtfully voiced Treble and Bass controls. Coupled with the Tilt side, it's a formidable combination. Congratulations, Shawn! I look forward to more from you and REVV.
