David Myhre is taking the Extra Spanky from Wooly Coats for spin with a Gibson LP and pushes it into British "Bluesbreaker" land. The Extra Spanky is a full-featured combo amp running two 6L6 output tubes, a tube rectifier and a large pan Accutronics tube driven reverb circuit. The Extra Spanky is optimized to handle pedals with ease. It's full complement of Treble, Middle and Bass controls have an enormous sweet-spot to accommodate single-coil as well as hum bucker equipped guitars. The amp is handwired in Nashville, TN using turret board construction, carbon-comp & metal film resistors, Mallory & Orange Drop capacitors and F&T filter capacitors. Transformers are premium Mercury Magnetics throughout. The 112 combo is loaded with the Eminence George Alessandro 12" speaker. 3rd Power's patented HybridMASTER is on-board allowing you to achieve your tone at any volume that's right for the room. The Extra Spanky also features the dual-mode reverb circuitry from 3rd Power's flagship Dual Citizen amplifier. This means that you can select between Ambient Mode for a really wet reverb effect or Tight Mode that moves the reverb back behind the the note (slightly darker tone) and causes it to fade in behind each note (like a pre-delay or far wall echo-verb). Jazz players will simply love the Tight Mode on the Extra Spanky.
