We visited the Dunlop booth at NAMM 2020 and were introduced to the MXR Timmy Overdrive and MXR Octavio Fuzz effects pedals.
The MXR Timmy Overdrive effects pedal creates massive, gritty, textured tones in an MXR mini housing. The Timmy is based on the boutique design by veteran pedal builder Paul Cochrane that gained fame among a wide variety of players. The Clip switch provides three different clipping styles, and the Bass and Treble controls offer further refinement of those styles. The Timmy is built with an LF353 op-amp, known for its high output, high gain, and high fidelity signal delivery.
The Octavio Fuzz by MXR offers touch-responsive octave-up saturation with simple controls to set the Output and Fuzz levels to your desired volume and intensity. Picking dynamics will trigger its synth-like sounds. Inspired by the original Hendrix pedal, for the first time presented in a standard MXR enclosure.
