We invited artist, guitar player and session musician, Dre DiMura, to Valentine Recording Studios in Los Angeles to demo the all-new BOSS BP-1W Waza Craft Booster/Preamp, the newest addition to Boss’ premium Waza Craft line of pedals.

This boost pedal offers more than just a “clean” increase in volume. With its emulations of two truly classic analog preamp stages that resided in the BOSS RE-201 Space Echo (manufactured 1974-1990) and the BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble (in production 1976-1984), the BOSS BP-1W features two incredible sounding vintage tonal options. And when you’re not looking for a sonic color change, this pedal also has a transparent Natural boost setting.
Dre DiMura is known for touring with artists all over the world and backing up musicians on television shows like America’s Got Talent.

DiMura shares, “I could see myself using this to push one of my tube amps on a gig, when I’m in the studio jamming or improvising or even recording because it’s so versatile,” The sweep and the warmth, and the different color and tonal characteristics that you’re getting from the RE and the CE settings on the pedal, really give it a lot more legs than other booster pedals that I’ve played with before.”
