This video covers a little bit of different ground. Firstly, it's a listen and look at the Fender Vintera II 50's Stratocaster, a guitar that I'm very impressed with. I bought this one and an Olympic White 60's model so that I can use them for pickup demos and other guitar-mod demos, but they're so good I'm hesitant to butcher them at all. Admittedly, they are an austere package as they ship with gig-bag only and I had to set them both up for 10-46, make some minor neck and intonation adjustments, and they're a poly finish, not nitro. Those possible shortcomings aside, these guitar are great. They play great (after my set-up), they look great and they sound great. In fact I think I prefer the Vintera 50's neck to the American Original versions I have here. The 60's neck is great too, but a little more petite with a comfortable C shape.
The Axe preset demonstrated here also was prompted by a Fractal Audio forum member looking for some decent Strat lead tone presets. So I decided to make one that features 8 Scenes with nearly as many amp/drive combos in the one preset. The video will tell the story. Download and try it for yourself but be aware that you'll need to be running FW: 23.00 beta 1 or later for this one.
