Both have obviously learned from and have huge respect for the masters like B.B. King, Muddy Waters, T-Bone Walker, Buddy Guy, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn … and the list goes on and on …

But what separates both Josh and Matt from so many other modern day blues guitar players … is their modern twist to the classic blues sounds. Both borrow elements of jazz and country into their playing to spice up even the most cliche blues lick.

Josh and Matt are both masters of phrasing and lead the listeners ears on a musical journey with everything they play … as opposed to what so many guys do these days … which is just blowing licks while trying to impress the eyes with guitar technique.

Guitar playing is so much more then Licks and Technique … it’s about saying something with music … emotion … passion … and fun. And these guys are at the top of their game when it comes to saying something thru their instrument!
