The Simmons Titan 50 B-EX increases the percussive might of the original Titan 50 with an extra tom and an additional cymbal. If you need, say, double floor toms and a more varied cymbal palette to do what you do, then the Titan 50 B-EX is your platform. Like the original, the Titan 50 B-EX includes a 10" double-zone snare, 8" toms with low-profile rims, 6" kick-drum pad, Bluetooth, a rectangular steel mounting rack and full-length stereo sounds forged by Simmons’ Variable Attack Response technology.

“I use electronic drum kits for recording, session work and, because the modules have onboard metronomes, practicing,” says drummer and producer Bianca Richardson. “I really love the mixture of electronic and acoustic drums—which is called hybrid drumming—because I like to use claps and different tom sounds you can’t get from a normal acoustic kit. I think of electronic drums as an expansion of how a drummer can sound. When I sit down to play the Simmons Titan 50 B-EX, it feels realistic and comfortable when compared to an acoustic kit—especially when I do my buzz rolls and tom fills. The sensitivity of the Titan 50 B-EX is incredible. I tend to play a lot of ghost notes and the pads are very responsive. This is an awesome kit that I can see myself playing every day.”
