Playing a great solo is a way to speak through your instrument. Techniques to create color and character will help give your solos shape and direction. In this video, Nicholas Veinoglou demonstrates three techniques that you can use to add life to your solos—slides (sliding from one note to another), double stops (playing two notes at the same time), and vibrato (adding a vocal quality to your notes).
