The Lollar Eldorado pickup is a departure from the usual humbucker. It features 12 alnico magnet slug pole pieces which change the dynamic between the pickup and your guitar's strings. If offers a glassy tone and snappy attack not usually found in more traditional humbucker designs. When split to one coil it offers richer harmonic content and more output, compared to most humbuckers and it's overall more musical and touch-sensitive too. Capturing the characteristics that most players look for in humbuckers and singlecoils, it truly does provide the best of both worlds.
