It's been an interesting experience being able to demo both the @fender American Vintage II '57 and '61 Stratocasters. They are different enough to warrant having both if you're so inclined. I just love the soft 'V' profile and sturdy 1-piece maple neck on the '57, as well as its simple looks and weight (it's a bit lighter than the '61). But the '61 is amazing too - rosewood slab, medium C profile - it's a different ride. It's very hard to pick a favourite!
