The Universal Audio UAFX Brigade Chorus & Vibrato pedal brings back the iconic sounds of the BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble. Introduced in 1976, the CE-1 nicked the circuit of the popular Roland Jazz Chorus amp, also becoming the first effects pedal bearing the BOSS name. The UAFX Brigade not only model’s the CE-1’s classic bucket-brigade circuitry, chorus and vibrato, but also its op-amp preamp section that can sweeten or add gristle to the input signal.

“Chorus goes down forever as one of my favorite effects to put on guitar, simply because it adds so much life,” says guitarist/producer Justus West. “The depth of the UAFX Brigade’s chorus is warm and beautiful, and the vibrato can add such an interesting flair to simple chord progressions. Adjusting the preamp level colors the sound, as well, and it has some great uses. By offering some essential sounds, the Brigade is a must-have for your pedalboard.”

The UAFX Brigade gives you a choice of chorus or vibrato, true or buffered bypass and preamp on or off. The Brigade’s firmware can be updated via a side-mounted USB-C jack.
