When Money Mark tried out the Matriarch at Moogfest 2019, he brought one of his earliest musical inventions— a morse code generator attached to a transistor radio— to pair it up with.
An innovator and friend of Bob Moog, Money Mark is known for his time with the Beastie Boys (among many other musicians) and his mechanical music innovations. His current project is The Echolodeon, which converts player piano rolls into midi. We chatted with him about curiosity, his inventions, and what it means to be building electronic instruments in today's world.
