Sometimes all I want is a little peace and some gentle Strat-ty tones with a splash of reverb. I think I've been listening to too much Dire Straits..! This guitar is a kind of Mary Kaye '57 affair built for me by Sam Brewster, my friend and bass player in the Angels with his dad, John. The pickups are A3, very polite and I just love them. Super Strat-ty! They are the 'Arnold's '54 Set' wound by Ben Bailey at JJ's Guitar Pickups over here in Oz. The amp is an Axe model of an old Vibrolux - the 'brownface' version from the early 60s. I've paired it with some 1x12 Vibrolux IR's and reverb. I'm working on a preset featuring the 3 or 4 'brownface' Fenders currently available in the Axe-FX III firmware. The cool thing about the latest firmware release (20.01b2) is that it has three types of speaker modification parameters - drive, compression and 'thump'. They all work as prescribed too. Great fun. Over and out. I hope everyone has a great week.
