The classic Gibson Les Paul Standard is back. Paying tribute to the golden era of innovation in the 50s and 60s, Gibson springs forward with a firm embrace of the original features that made the legendary guitars so beloved.
Gibson's Chief Merchant, Cesar Gueikian, shares with us the thinking behind a new energy and vision for the legendary guitar maker, "How do we learn from what we've done for the last 125 years, shaping sound, and shaping music across so many genres and do that for the next 125 years." Part of that approach includes maintaining the authenticity of the great Les Paul legacy: "We've gone back to historical accuracy with the Les Paul Standard." Look for both a 60s and 50s Standard built to the original specs featuring all solid body, vintage volume & tone knobs, and original tuners.
