We dropped by the Yamaha booth at NAMM 2023 to check out the new CK88 88-key portable stage keyboard with senior product specialist Blake Angelos.
The Yamaha CK series, which includes both a weighted 88-key model and 61-key model, covers brings together the sound of the CP Stage Piano with the organ and synth sounds found in the YC Stage Keyboard, giving players everything they need for their next gig. Its intuitive, streamlined layout places a premium on real-time control rather than menu diving, keeping the focus on what matters: the music. Each part (organ, synth and piano) can be layered or zoned, utilizing each of their own built-in effects, as well as a shared master effects section.
