Between shooting pedal videos ... yes, there are more coming ... I went off on a tangent as one does, this time trying to nail the Keith tone on Exile On Main Street's No.1 track: Rocks Off. The huge Rolling Stones Gear coffee table book I have here speaks of Ampegs (VT-22, B-15, SVTs...they were endorsed by Ampeg), Fender Showman and Twin amps and the relatively new 5W "silverface" Fender Vibro/Champ along with the new Vibratone speaker cabinet, a Leslie speaker cabinet, designed for use as an unpowered extension speaker for a standard guitar amp. There's no Vibro/Champ model in the Axe firmware yet, so I went for the closest circuit model I could find - that turned out to be the Tremolux model. It's so close (apparently) that while I've been typing this description and the video's being processed, Youtube have sent me a copyright notice! Haha. The other thing is, I'm not sure what guitar Keith used for that session. There were Gibsons and Fenders, a Dan Armstrong see-through... Many of them were stolen during the sessions one night, allegedly to repay drug debts. Rock 'n roll! So anyway, you can download the preset from http://axechange.fractalaudio.com/detail.php?preset=10012 if you want to give it a shot.
