Before he played with major-label acts like Switchfoot, Jon Foreman was just a kid, soaking up music and melody from an artistic family. Now that he’s a pro, he looks back on his first guitar and reminisces on his learning experience and how honesty and imagination play into songwriting and music-making. With the Academy Series, Jon found an instrument that hearkened back to his early playing days, one with a comfortable, inviting feel that would have made learning guitar even more exciting and accessible at the time. With a solid top, a carved armrest, and that inimitable Taylor feel, the Academy Series opens the door to musicians of all backgrounds and styles to find inspiration in music.
