DevTech Audio's Skylight Overdrive is... "Not based on most of the popular overdrive circuits currently flooding the market, the ‘Skylight’ offers something a little different. Comparatively, the ‘Skylight’ sits closer in design to the Pete Cornish SS-3 style of sound." It sure has a cool grind, that's for sure. I'm torn between the two modes, germanium and silicon, as they both have their qualities and charms and will fit into pretty much any overdrive application I can think of. The first thing that struck me about the Skylight was its dynamics and old-school amp-like qualities. It really likes you to dig in and make it wail, but it will play nice when you're feeling a little more sedate too. It's a very cool design.
