The new DMC-6D MIDI Foot Controller from Disaster Area Designs is a great way to control your computer running Ableton Live, Mainstage, or other DAW software. It is also an amazing way to link all of your MIDI-capable guitar pedals together.
The DMC-6D allows full looper control of the Strymon Timeline, without needing to enter the Timeline looper mode. It can control all of the Timeline looper functions including Reverse, Half-speed, Pre/Post, and Undo/Redo.
In addition to the looper controls, the DMC-6D has four banks of five presets each. Each DMC-6D preset can contain any program from any of the connected devices, so you can recall different sounds on your Timeline, Mobius, H9, Space, Timefactor, Modfactor, M9, etc. You can also remotely bypass pedals in case you only want some of them active in a preset!
The DMC-6D can control three or more MIDI devices in a very small (7.5" x 4.6") footprint. It has a 7-pin MIDI port that supports phantom powering from devices like the AxeFX / Ultra / II, and may also be powered by USB or a 9V adaptor.
The DMC-6D features a full complement of expression pedal and footswitch inputs to expand your performance capabilities. The USB MIDI and 7-pin MIDI ports are linked together so that you can send out commands to your computer or iPad AND your MIDI pedals at the same time. You can also send commands from your computer / iPad to your MIDI pedals using the DMC-6D as a MIDI interface.
