In the second of his three video series, Elixir Strings artist Allan Salmon demonstrates how to start using major and minor triads in your playing. Using this easy-to-follow triad guitar technique will help open up the fingerboard and have you exploring new melodic avenues in no time!
Using triads - the smallest versions of chords - can be a great way to come up with guitar parts that complement another player, or that sit well in a recording. By using different voicings and extensions you can come up with almost endless harmonic possibilities that really fill out an arrangement.
