Adelaide's Stefan Hauk (See: https://www.youtube.com/@UCXYUOk1sRxzTihLKYXJ0ggQ ) and Ben Bailey at JJ's have teamed up to give us the Fat Toneys, a set that based around the smokey, never-shrill qualities of Alnico II and a bridge pickup with a steel baseplate that is as much muscular Tele as it is Strat. To my ears and fingers that makes for a very pleasing and potent combination. Here they are in my Fender Vintera II Strat and a very accurate mid 60's blackface Princeton model courtesy of the Axe-FX III, with a couple of popular overdrives thrown in for good measure. I love these pickups so much I'm going to grab another Vintera II Strat to load up with Fat Toneys and take them both out on the next run (https://jamesreyne.com.au/tours/). Rock on.
