I must admit that this is one of the more unorthodox demo commissions I've had over my fifteen years or so on YouTube. The guys at Keeley told me they're involved somehow in a forthcoming Beach Boys / Pet Sounds documentary and they've created a couple of pedals to be part of it. They're even allowed to use the Beach Boys logo and song titles for the pedals. What the..? How can I refuse? I didn't refuse, of course - I was honoured to be asked! But there was precious little time between receiving the goods and getting this demo made in time for this morning's deadline. So I've skirted all Beach Boys tunes (probably a blessing as I'm not totally au fait with them anyway) and gone straight to each pedal's respective charms - and there are many! We've got the 'California Girls' which is a killer double-track/12 string/chorus pedal in glorious stereo and the 'I Get Around' Rotary Simulator, also in wide stereo (or mono) with all of the features you could possibly hope for in a (top) quality rotary sim. Both pedals can be operated in true or buffered bypass and both have looks and builds that are a next level. And the sounds? Whoa. Killer. Pet Sounds.
