Sidechain compression is a very popular technique in electronic music production and really helps bring mixes to life by ducking one sound to let another shine. In eurorack, there are lots of compressors but they normally serve one purpose so it might be hard to dedicate HP to a compressor.

In this video we show how to use an envelope follower and a bipolar VCA to mimic sidechain compression and get the same sounds. Time Warp is a Dual Channel Triggered Slew Module that can be used as an envelope and envelope follower. We use Time Warp to control the WMD DVCA to make a sidechain compression patch.
