My take:
The Chime MKII is more than an evolution of the Chime v1 - it feels like a new pedal entirely. Completely reworked, this new version boasts an internal voltage upscale from 9v to 36v (!), continuously variable clipping mode and hi-pass filter, and a more transparent overall EQ. Extremely musical. Everything was resonating. I was hearing overtones on top of overtones on top of overtones, no matter the amount of gain. My new favorite light / first stage overdrive. Perfect.
