Open your ears to the otherworldly presence of the Catalinbread Antichthon, a wholly unique effect pedal designed to be controlled entirely by your playing dynamics and the guitar's volume knob. It artfully combines elements of fuzz, tremolo, and some unidentifiable bits of sonic dark matter for an uncommon breadth of inspiring tones. The Antichthon operates in three distinct modes, the first being a dynamic fuzz-tremolo where the trem speed and sound is varied by the guitar's volume control. In the second mode the pedal operates as a self-contained tone generator, even with no guitar signal present at the input. Plug one in, though, and guitar and pedal meld into one, feeding off of each other to create sounds that range from sub bass, to haunted horns, chirping birds, space orcas, slithering serpents and more! Finally, mode three is a more familiar Germanium/Silicon fuzz drive sound, defined by a complex, richly harmonic voice that's as open and responsive as they come. Like all Catalinbread effects, the Antichthon is made by hand with premium components, right here in Portland, Oregon, and can operate on 9 to 18 volts of industry standard power.
