In this video we compare how a Marshall 6100LM 100W sounds like in Pentode Vs Triode mode. The 6100LM is an EL34 based amp and the standard mode for running an EL34 Power tube is Pentode mode. When the tube is run in Triode mode the effect is basically halved and the dynamics less pronounced but some say it sounds warmer. What do you think?
