Van Halens 1978 Touring rig, which was displayed in an exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts featured removed grill cloths on all 6 cabs, so in this video we find out what influence that has on the guitar tone. I remove the front fabric or grill of a Marshall 1960B cab and compare it with and without grill cloth.
