1980 Marshall JMP Super Lead Modded into perfection by Forsberg Amplification using Daniel's latest British voiced mod! Daniel is describing the mod in his notes below. Ragnar Christensson is playing a Fender Stratocaster and Daniel and are playing my usual 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9 with a Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 Pro in the bridge. We're playing the amp through a Marshall full stack of 8 Celestion G12M25 75Hz Blackbacks.
This mod also contains Forsberg's Power amp which is really effective. Usually a Marshall Super Lead, full stack, loses some bottom end and clarity when played loud. But with this modification it sounds like a train driving at full speed without hesitation! More info on that in Daniel's notes below.

Daniel Forsberg's notes on this amp:
"My new DF-modification!
Shared cathodes on the first preamp tube (input stage). Shared cathodes sounds a bit warmer imo!
I got the idea from the Bassman 59 and the plexi-era Marshalls.
I’ve always used split cathodes before so this is the first time you’ll hear it in an amp featuring a Forsberg (DF) modification.
Some new filtering and resistor-values for a better “clean up” when turning down the volume on your guitar. It actually works so well that the sound is entirely clean with the guitar volume knob on 3 and then higain when fully up.
This amp also features my new power amp modification! I’ll explain it here:
have developed an universal power amp-modification that can be done to almost any tube amp! 👍
So what’s the difference?
It makes the amp very firm yet dynamic at any volume! More low bass driving the speakers a bit harder and it really feels like added horsepowers! More “omph” in your gut so to speak"
