We talk to Aston about the new Starlight Small Condenser Mic - the first ever laser targeting pencil microphone, allowing for recall of mic position during studio recording sessions and incredibly quick setup in live performance venues.
The inbuilt laser technology in the microphone allows retrace the exact mic position in studio use and promises to make long and laborious mic setups a distant memory.
The integrated class 2 laser pointer with on/off switch means that mic positioning can be prepared in advance, speeding up the sound check and ensuring a consistent sound is achieved time after time.
Sound quality is at the heart of the Aston Starlight. The internal circuitry is built with the highest quality components and is fine-tuned to ensure maximum sensitivity and low noise, giving the largest possible amount of headroom possible. The mic's output stage provides a higher output level, ensuring that the preamps work on a lower gain, creating less distortion and a clean, detailed sound.
You can choose between Modern, Vintage and Hybrid filter settings at the flick of a switch, lending to its pristine high quality sound, whatever your application.
Featuring a robust metal head and sleek 1.5mm solid stainless steel chassis, complete with Aston signature finish, the Starlight is not only durable, but features a great finish too.
